spoons and splashes

It seemed like a natural thing to do. Miles sat in his high chair switching between cereal and smashed organic peas. Yum. He kept reaching for the spoon. So we let him have it. We put food on it, then he'd stick it in his mouth. Not terribly elegant. Terribly messy. But he enjoyed it and actually got some food. I'll post the pictures soon.

Later, I went to give him a quick bath. Last time I slapped the water with my palm cupped to make the water drumming sound. I did it again and that touched off a gleeful water slapping and splashing frenzy. I couldn't help but laugh and that only fueled his excitement more. He was sitting in front of me (I got in the tub with him), slapping the water, looking over his shoulder to see my expression. He melts my heart at every turn of the bend.

Hey, Universe, are you listening? Please. I need a way to work part-time from home. I can't stand being away all day.
